I have a group of zebra/long tailed danios in my ten gallon tank. The zebra danio, which I think is a female b/c she looks VERY pregnant, constantly chases ALL the other fish in the aquarium, especially my little male guppy. She looks like she is gonna pop any day now and I have a net breeder but my female guppy is in it b/c she is pregnant also. Is this chasing a sign that the female wants/needs or own space or something? Should I get another net breeder and put her in it? Any advice would help! Thanks!:)

Danios aren't live bearers so unless a male fertilizes the eggs after she releases them there will be no fry.

I also noticed that when I had danios that they would pick on my guppies... I had to remove them eventually as it only got worse. I think it's more danio nature... the guppies kind of look like danios so the danios think that they can chase and nip the guppies like they do other danios.

get a skinny danio and a plumped danio in a net breeder, u might get eggs

danios are very easy to breed

get an extra small tank, put a layer of marbles on the buttom of the tank, get a plump female and male

wait a few days, and im sure u will see eggs in between the marbles

if u dont have nothing to hid the eggs from the danios, they will eat them
