i want to get a royal pleco i ahve seen two and they have a white stripe through their tail will this go with age also are they slow growers and what price am i looking for any one now where i can get one in the south of england

I don't think the white area on the tail will go away. Some royals have it, some don't. (I think most do) As for size, they get to be about 15 inches, but are slow growers. Driftwood is a must for these plecos.
Sorry, I really don't know about prices in england.
