has anyone seen, or know anything about a fish called the rhino glass fish? It's rather large, has a high fin in front of the dorsal fin, though doesn't really look clear..

VERY vague.

can you give a better description or even a picture? is it a top, middle or bottom dweller? what kind of colors? fins, shapes, sizes..... any distinguishing features?

need more info, sorry.

Hmm, no picture of it, no... no colors to speak of, plain gray/silver and like I said, had a kind of horn shaped hi fin in front of the dorsal fin... was roughly about 6 inches or so, looked like it swam mid range of the tank, more or less kind of tetra shaped... I guess it could of been considered kind of glass fish shaped, but not really.. might have been about 2-3 inches tall that's about all I can remember.

Have you managed to get some? These are soft acidic fish.

My LFS currently has 3 around 2.5", and is selling them at $30 each.

Tomorrow or Monday I'm taking in for store credit:
-5 Glass Bloodfin Tetras. They would not school properly with the larger number of Bloodfin Tetras.
-1 3" F Platinum Gourami (Trichogaster trichopterus). My last female Trichogaster trichopterus was very outgoing and never hid. This one zooms away if you so much as glance at the tank.
-1 3" Leopard Frog Pleco (L134). It's a pretty fish, and also the most expensive I've ever bought. It also hides a lot more than my other Plecos. My LFS sells these at $89.99, so I should get a decent amount of store credit from it. I can use that credit to buy neat or pretty fish that I won't have to move rocks around to see.

Neat or pretty fish such as a Humphead Glassfish. I'm going to try one solo in a community and see what happens.

Please do post pics.:) Glass bloodfins are not similar in looks with bloodfins and will never school with anybody. I have never seen them school at all. They're always scattered around swimming boisterously.

ive seen these on aquabid but they were expensive.
