What does everyone feed their plecos, how much and how often?

I have a couple of plecos in with some cichlids, who have voracious appetites. In another tank, I have two plecos in with various freshwater fish, including two clown loaches.

My plecs eat whatever the Clown Loaches get. Mostly sinking pellets (their favourite is the TetraMin tropical tablets) suplemented every few nights with some of the veges for the table or those in the garden that were relished by our feathered friends first.

What species of pleco do you have? They all eat different things. Some are carnivores some are vegetarians, some are omnivores and some eat wood.

Mine are common plecos.

I feed mine zucchini. They like it better than anything else. I started out with lettuce in my old tank a long time ago, then switched to spinach when realizing it would probably taste better. Then, with my tank now, I feed zucchini often and spinach once in a while.
