They had some at my LFS yesterday. the first time I have seen them in person. nice looking fish. what I would like to know is, what tank mates did you have for them? and size tanks you had them in.

Dovii get big, really big. 2'+ and they need very large tanks, about a 180 minimum for one fish. They are highly predatory and will eat any fish to fit in its mouth. If you want tankmates the tank will have to be much larger than a 180.
I have not kept dovii, but this is the general knowledge I have learned about the fish. Mojo has a breeding pair of dovii, and I bet he can help out a bit with more specific info.
That about sums it up. The pair that I have...and in particular the male...is relatively mild. But it's just the pair in the tank. It's really a crap shoot. A good deal has to do with the size of the tank. Bigger tank...less problems.
