I've seen this thread (http://www.aquariacentral.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=2114) and it makes me wonder, are mine Blue Rams or Gold Rams or what?

Sorry I can't tell you what fish they are BUT those are very nice fishys you can be a prowed parent :D :D :D

I think they're blue rams.
The gold rams have more gold and greenish color in them
and less, if any, blue coloring.

Actually gold rams are said to be the "albino" form
of blue rams, so they are related, and look similar.

Their name "blue ram" is not a very accurate name
since most of them have very little blue in them.
They are also called "German rams" sometimes,
I think named after a German aquarist who popularized
them (the fish are not originally from Germany!
as they are South American cichlids).

Edit: I guess gold rams do sometimes have a black spot
on them.

haha. i don't know. they lived in a bowl for a while when i bought them and now they're in their new tank.
