Just another thread that attempts to resolve my water issues.

I have in my office 15 or 20 - 5 gallon bottles of "Poland Spring" bottled wtare that I use in my water coolers.

Can I use 2 of those bottles ( 10 Gallons) for my next water change?

I'm willing to use as many as possible to replace as much water as possible.

Is there any harm in using this water?

In small tanks this is ok, depending on your species, but in larger tanks this practice would prove expensive. Personally, if my only option was to use bottled water with my current 75 G tank, I would not keep fish.

Not all bottled water is created equal. Look at the label and see what type of filtration was used in the bottling process.

I use RO drinking water and Culligan's for my 5 at work--no problems that were related to the water source.

If it really is spring water, I'd reccomend you test for hardness/alkalinity, pH etc.

If it's actually RO water marketed under a brand name that includes the word "spring" then it's probably pH 7 and near zero on every other scale.

Sounds expensive, but it should be safe.
