Fish Identification

Both of these fish were sold to me as mollies but it looks as though the one in the back may be some sort of a cross breed. Any help on fish identification would be appreciated. Thanks!

yeah hans is right its a platy they look like mollies and ive bred them togeather once but they are exactly the same basically

interesting, just wondering, what do you use to tell them apart if they are so similar?

Actually, they look too long in the body to be platies, looks more like a swordtail to me.

I'm with Dapple...they look like swords to me, too. Though I suppose it is possible that it's a molly/platy/swordtail hybrid of some sort.

Looks like a dalmation molly/platy cross.

thats an other problem the swords are only present on females. in the tank were their any looking like this?

but now i think your right as platys have a hump were the dorsel fin is.;)
