Hey, I'm a new user, just got a 20 gallon tank. All I have in it right now are penguin tetras and gold tetras, probably going to get a lemon tetra and a blue paradise gourami. Would the gourami have any problems with the tetras?

I have 2 paradise fish (gouramis) who for the mot part ignore everything. I keep mine with Rosy Tetras and neon tetras. They mostly seem to either hang out by themselves, or chase each other occasionally (but not non stop, infact they hardly ever chase eachother). Although I don't think mine are fully grown, since they are supposed to be aggressive towards each other and mine aren't! I keep mine in a 20g btw.
First off, welcome to AC!
Paradise fish can be pretty aggressive, but I don't think it would be a huge deal with tetras. By adding a lemon tetra, did you mean just 1? Tetras are schooling fish and do best in groups of 6+. I don't think your tank would be big enough for a third group of tetras though. How many penguins and golds do you have?

Right now I have three of each, was planning on getting 2 more penguins and about 4 lemons, do you think I need more than that to keep them comfortable? If so I probably wont get the lemons and will just get a paradise and some more golds/penguins.

I've been watching the fish a little bit and the Golds and Penguins seem to be schooling together. Do you think I should still get more of them just to be safe?
