i'm just learning about planting, so need to know what these plants are so I can get the right soil, etc. /and what fish go with the plants and medium.
I have a grow light on top of one tank I got ages ago for growing mullies (JK) one of the plants is doing very well with the light. Is it ok for the fish?
dont know what fish I will add yet. Suggestions?
thanks

Please post a pic so we can see this plant, and possibly ID.

Edit: Ahhh, nm, though you should post a picture so we can easily ID.

First plant, water sprite IIRC
Second plant Frill
third: Dunno, not even sure its aquatic.
Fourth, looks like a val or maybe a Cryptocoryne Spiralis,
Fifth, not quite sure again, a Ludwigia possibly? I'm pretty sure its aquatic in any case.

first plants common name is cabomba , 2nd is hornwort, a coule no idea on, but the other i reconized i think is bacopa but not any variety i seen before, the moss ball thing they call marimo ball, it can also bbe found in lakes attached to muddy bottom, as well as floating sheets.

Third Photo looks like Hornwort to me not sure on the rest but I dont think the fourth photo is aquatic either

Pretty sure its a crypt. Not 100% but looks like mine, which is aquatic. It might be a val, again, not 100% I am pretty sure its aquatic.
