I picked up two 3 cm bristleys off my friend and being naive as I was, thought they would only require algae. How wrong was I. I intend to go out and buy some zucchini tomorrow. BUT, how do I keep my other fish away from the zucchini?

I only have 6 cherry barbs in it so far, but I intend to keep 3 clown loaches and maybe some black widow tetras.

Please advise. :)

Provide enough zucchini so everyone canhave some. All the fish will benefit from the fresh veggies. Algae tabs are also a great option. Feeding after the lights go out will be a big help as well.

Would cherry barbs or clown loaches eat zucchinis? (I'd think not). So putting in two pieces (as OrionGirl sugguested) should be enough to keep them busy...

My barbs love zucs and other vegs..sometimes I'll do a cucumber or a few grated carrot in some hot boiling water for a miute or so.. let them coll off and drop them in.. the barbs like them very much.... I do it for a break from the pellets and flakes they normaly get. I have Cherry, Rainboy, Rosey and all three kinds of Tiger barbs (Green Normal and Albino) in my barb tank...
They only think I want to try next is maybe giving them some worms or shrimp.
