What type of pins on the fluorescent aquarium bulbs (straight or square)are required on aquarium bulbs to work with shop light fixtures?

Hmmm.....I have only seen one type of pin arrangement on shoplights and it is the kind with two small wire pins. But, you should verify that on your particular fixture.
For what types of bulbs I like on shoplights that re inexpensive: Tritons, GE Aquarays, and the "daylight tubes" from Home Depot.

Was that a question? If so, yes they should if they are T12 bulbs and the shoplight is intended for t12's. But, personally I don't like to overpay for aquarium stuff because it comes in an aquarium specific package. A typical "aquarium specific" 48" T12 bulb runs what $15-$35? And you can have excellent results for $5 a bulb from Home Depot? Its up to you.......
