female JD size

Does anyone know roughly how large a female JD can get?

Biggest I've seen is around 7".

Mine is 1 and 1/2 years old and is 6 to 6 1/2 inches. She has been this size for some time now.

The biggest female that I have owned (still do) is about 6 inches. She is my dominant female that I breed with.

All my sub-dominant females (including the current blue female that I'm attempting to breed with my dominant male) are roughly 5 to 5.5 inches. I have had some of them for years and haven't been able to get them any bigger.

The biggest female I have seen was 7 to 7.5 inches once. All others have been roughly the same size as mine.

The most accurate way is venting.

I have found the fins with JD's to be quite reliable. Females dorasl fins tend to round off where as males are longer and come to a sharp point. The anal fins are have a similar difference.
