okay my tank has been up and running for about 2 weeks i have a fluval 204 canister filter, but the water is cloudy and won't go away is there a way to fix this, i did everything the filter instructions said to do i rinsed all the media, but the water has like a haze to it and is angering me please help!!! here is a pic can't really tell that it is cloudy just a little

it could be a possibility of things. how big is your tank? how many gph does your filter have? do you have carbon in the filter? explain how your tank's set up.

yes it has carbon in the filter it is a 45gallon cube,110 gph

only 110 gph? no wonder. you should try to get at least 10x water flow in your tank, and most people get over 20x. i would recommend you get a H.O.T. filter with a higher flow rate.(maybe an emperor 400)

so the reason my tank is cloudy cause i only have 110 gph for a 45 gallon tank the guy at the store said it should be fine,so if i go get a higher rated filter it will clear up my water? is this for sure cause it makes me mad he said it would be fine and it is screwing my tank up ?

any second opinion should i just go out and get a different filter or what , i would like to fix this problem asap

Tell me if I'm wrong but is this a freshwater tank??

Please disregard the statement regarding the 10X turnover for your tank. That is a requirement for a salt water tank with a different filtration method than your using. Please try posting this question in the freshwater forum and you will get many more responses.
