Determining Tiger Oscar's Sex?

I have a 2inch tiger oscar and i do not know what his/her sex is. any way i could figure this out besides buying more oscars? (he doesnt like any fish other than his/her pleco)
 
Needs to be more then 2" before you can tell. The male is more colorful and longer fins.
 
Well, determining the gender of an Oscar based upon its fins, coloration, markings, behavior or size are not very reliable. The real only reliable method of determining the gender of an Oscar, is by netting them out of the tank, and holding them still while examining their genital area in a bright area
