Hey all. I was just wondering, what fish eat algae? I heard the yellow-eyed tang are good algae eaters, anything else?

there are quite a few. lawnmower blenny is one i can think of off the top of my head. most people, however, use crabs, shrimp, and other inverts as part of a "clean up crew" which eats algae, left over food, etc. slugs are real good for cleaning up algae.

My brothers tank was always algae free. Then his yellow tang died and the algae took over. So I guess he was a great grazer. But you need at least a 4 foot tank for those guys.

Yeah I would like to find a colorful, cool looking fish. So far the yellow-eyed tang sounds pretty good. Anyone else know of any?
