just wondering

i was going through some stuff out in my garage and came across some old clam shells i wonder if i could boil 1 in water and put it in the aquarium be a good place for some fish to hide and may even look good but do you all think it would introduce any diseases or anything basically would it be safe?

If you boil them, they should be fine.

Be careful, as the calcium in the shells mighten harden the water.

I would only use with africans or other hard water fish :).
