I think its a java fern of some sort, but this thing has exploded in size and I was wondering if i could split it up and replant it in different places in the tank. Or at least i would like to know what it is
It kinda hides my pretty driftwood

It's some variety of echinodorus or sword plant. You can definitely divide it provided each division has its own crown and root stock.

Don't cut it apart, but just gently pry the sections apart. Probably 2 or 3 plants in that 1 clump? It should separate easily, unless the roots are tangled, even then it shouldn't bee to hard to separate them.

I know exactly what that plant is, I just bought it at Big Al's. That's "Cryptocoryne Undulata". It likes bright light, and will take up a lot of room. I heard it can have a diameter of 12 inches full grown.

I wouldn't recommend prying it apart. All I know is that if you move it around the tank too much it gets stressed and doesn't look attractive.

It looks a lot like the Amazon Sword I used to have. Not sure of the scientific name though.

That does not look like a crypt. Looks like Ecinodorus Major.
