test post

I deleted the one from yesterday, as the thread is clearly not related to propagation.

So--what's up? What are you testing?

I was posting a test in reference to Dale. If I don't post for more then 60 days, my account goes inactive, then I have to reactivate it again, but then it looks like I'm a new user.. for instance..

In the marine section... My post in the noob forum is stickied at the top... has been ever since May. But now, I come back, I look like a new Jason A. I cannot have an Avatar now, no custom message or script and my post count is reset... plus I cannot edit any of my old post... It's a bug with old vB (vBulletin) software and I know since I admin some of the largest vB board on the net.

anyways, since you guys don't have a test forum, I just picked the one that hasn't had a post in over 3 months to see if I could edit my old profiles and such.

Jason

P.S. Still waiting to hear back from Dale if he'll re-activate my old settings...

Jason,

There really isnt any glitch that I am aware of in vB that would reset you back to where you were. We have a number of people that are inactive and have still retained their post count and threads. Here is one of them, and please take a close look at who the thread starter is :D

Yea, this is the bug I'm talking about... funny how there's is a Jason A with 43 posts and a custom user text that I cannot edit, yet I'm also Jason A with only 10 posts, the same email address, yet cannot do anything with those older posts. And I had another user before that one even with almost 200 but I haven't been on in over 1.5 years and it looks like it got purged when you did a MySQL data dump or compacted the DB.

Anywho, I'll just stay the noob and start my profile over again.

P.S. Don't know if you want them, but I do have all the current updates to vB but that's up to you.

The difference Reefscape was suggesting--the old name is JasonA, while you are Jason A. No space vrs space.
