some carnivor pelts would be your best bet.

most of the truely predatory fish are very difficult to persuade to take prepared foods.

the best methods I have seen are to simply starve the fish for a few days and then add some pellets. If he doesnt take them then leave him a while longer. It can take a week or more though in some cases.

or you could try adding other fish that will take the pellets and hope that the pike catches on that they are good food.

HOWEVER! please do not try the starvation method until you are sure that your pike is settled and healthy in your tank.

however much you dislike giving him the live food do it until you are confident that he is in good enough shape to go a while with out food.

for a little bit more experienced info on the subject you could try searching www.predatoryfish.net

good luck, and post some picks of him! :D

I don't have any at this time but when I did, they ate frozen brine shrimp & frozen bloodworms. Very easy to use except that probably your other fish will also gobble it up. I would use the dry food first then when the other fish have eaten, try the brine shrimp.

i say NO to the feeder idea as if it gets the taste of feeders you wont get him off them.
