Hello,
I'm setting up a open top 30gal. breeder tank for a large school of cory cats. I'm trying to decide what species to work with and one of the limiting factors is temp. The tank will be in a small room along with several reptiles tanks and an orchid closet. With all the lights and heaters running in their the air temp. reaches in the high 70s to low 80s even when the rest of the house is in the mid to low 60s. In the summer it can get almost up to the low 90s. What species of cory or even brochis can best handle conditions like this. I'd like them to do really well and eventually breed.......so I need a species that can take these warmer conditions.......no sweat.:p

Thanx.........Roy

Pandas I think can handle up to 84F. During the summer you may have to use the frozen water bottle trick, not many tropical fish can handle up into the 90's.

High to low 80's, you can have pretty much any cory you wanted.

cories will do fine in a tank with a temp in the low to mid 80's however i woul say low 90's is pushing it - you prob won't get your cories to breed in water this warm (80's and up) though as they usually spawn after water changes with cooler water in the 70's
