These guys are a good fish even overlooking their algae dining. They are very active during the day, unlike most other algae eaters that hide most of the day. Far more entertaining than ottos.
They are also fairly effective at algae control, after getting them I saw for the first time old leaves that have little green spots - the base of fur algae - but without the fur! I can see them yanking it off everywhere they go.
