Thanks guys, I think I'm starting to get the hang of this new camera. Shooting fish with it is really quite a challange.
nopatience, while I like CB's I think I'll stick with my flame ;) I have thought about getting a CB as well but I don't know if they would fight to much. My Flame is a little flaky, and attacks my Maroon Clown a lot.

im sure they would battle.
im kind of nervous because the CB is my only fish since cycled.
im not exactly sure but he has been in close to a month.
so i am sure he is gonna slap whichever fish i get next around the tank. he tries to run me off if i get to close to the glass.tries to swell up and look mean.actually the reason i havent gotten another fish is because i have had bad luck with CB's in the past being bullied themselves.so im stuck. this is a slow coming reef.
any suggestions?

well instead of adding just 1 new fish you could try adding 2 or 3 new fish at once. This way if the CB does want to bully someone the violence can be distributed over 3 fish, instead of just 1 new fish getting the brunt of the assult... That might work.
coral beautys and flame angels cant be put in the same tank?

I've seen people do it, I've thought of trying it myself, because I have a fairly big tank, but... The odds of them fighting and hurting one another may not be worth the risk. Most angelfish with fight with one another.
so, if i wanted to put a flame angel and a coral beauty in my 75 gal, that would be no good?
Personally, I wouldn't risk it. I thought about trying the same thing in my 100, but decided against it after talking to other people who were unsuccessful with it.

I have had good success with combining two of the same genus and those 2 as well but I would not recomend doing it. The way to do it is to rearnge the tank to re distribute teritories as with one centropyge in the tank, they will claim the tank. You can however get away with adding one of a different species generally with just a little squable, especially if the other fish is bigger and not of the same color.
ok, now i just gotta decide which one i want more then i guess :) i think coral beautys are well, beautiful, but i think flame angels are really cool too. anyone care to state their preferance?

I love flame angels, but my fiance and here sister both think CB's are better, luckily I'm the Deuce Bigelow of the house, so I get to make the call!!

I personally like flames as I think they are a much hardier species. The longevity of CB's in a closed sytem (unless its very large) is much shorter then that of the flame.
I think the flame is the cooler looking of the two :)

I agree, but I do like the Coral Beauty and I like Bi-Colored's.

i havent seen a dwarf i didnt think was beautiful.
so flames are the hardier of the two? my lfs dont keep flames in stock, maybe they will get one in soon so i can look at it. ive never seen one in up close before.

Bicolors are even less hardy. There are a few diff regions that the flame comes from and they are pretty common in the trades. I am surprised that your LFS hasnt had any of them. BTW, the x-mas Island ones are one of the nicer looking flames.

Flames are really nice fish. But a Coral Beauty is much better looking. The only bad thing is thay they like to hide at least mine does. I have had both and my Flame up and died for no reason. This CB had something on it, I thought it was ICH. Didn't affect his eating or the way he acted. Then one day it just disappeared. I had no quarantine tank and couldn't add any med in my reef. I didn't know what I was going to do. Then it just vanished, can't explain.
