Can there be too much or too little?

I just put gravel in my 20gal tank and notice its about 1" in height, I guess the gravel was ment for my 10gal.

Though I guess I really dont need gravel do I? But if I want plants, I guess a 1" isnt going to be much for it to hold one huh?

I dont feel like buying some more black/turquose stuff though :P

1" is a good height. It will be easy to vaccum. Too much gravel is bad i think unless you have an UGF, or lots of plants, or rigorous cleaning. :)

i use about 2 and a half inches
with a ugf

What Kribs said plus in some of my tanks, like the fry tanks, I use no gravel....much easier to clean.
