Any freshwater shrimp that could/would be safe living in the same tank as Botia loaches?

It depends on what type of botia. If they can't fit the shrimp in thier mount they won't eat it. I have 10 ghost shrimp with 3 small clowns together for about 4 months now and the shrimp are fine. I know the clowns will eventually eat the shrimp. Maybe if you have many hiding places for the shrimp some will survive.

my various loaches (skunks, yoyos, clowns), even though they are all under 3 or 4 inches, will harass ghost shrimp like crazy in front of me...and then they're gone the next day. i am drawing conclusions from this.
I would not worry about shrimp with most loaches.
I have 5 clowns,3striata,3angelicus,4histrionica and 7 yoyo's in my 70 gallon tank. I have some beautiful wood shrimp and ghosties in there no problems ever. Skunkloaches, modestas, tiger loach are a diffrent story however.

I have 4 2 1/2" Botia striata and they ate the ghost shrimp i added to my tank. Good thing i was adding the ghost shrimp as tester shrimp beofr ei went out and bought the more expensive kinds.

mine just really harass small ghost shrimp. i wouldn't put anything less than a 1.5-2" shrimp. i would say the yoyos bother them the least, but the skunks and clown loaches do hassle them.

Hmm, maybe once I convert over to full plant mode and stuff grows in I'll give 'em a try. Thanks for the replies!
