My tank's been cycling for about a month now and today I noticed some very small "bugs" on the glass. They're white, move quite quickly and they're so small you could easily overlook them (you have to be very close to the glass to see them).

Are these parasites? Are any fish I put in the tank doomed?

Thanks for your help.

OK, so I did a little detective work and I think they're Copepods - which is a good thing right?!?

If anyone wants to add anything about these 'pods or what I can expect to happen with them, then i'd be very grateful. Thanks guys.

Chris

Sounds like you hit right on it. They are a sign of a healthy tank, and will provide the other inhabitants with an occasional snack.

White bugs

I noticed the same thing just the other day. My tank has been up for almost 2 months. Today I noticed that they must be multiply like crazy because they are everywhere. Every now and then a couple will fight and come off the rock and float in the current until they are swallowed.
