This is more for the plant forum, but a sword or 2 should work. They can put up with some pretty good abuse and grow roots quick, so they don't get uprooted.
good luck.. balas tend to do a number on plants! they also can grow quite large and may outgrow your 25gal (they can get up to 17"!) stick to plastic/silk plants and driftwood
