orange residue.....HELP

Hello,

I need help. I am new to the scene and I have been doing pretty well with my small tank but I have developed an orange substance that is sticking to the plants and the tank. What is it???? Maybe algae or minerals????

if it is a failry new tank it is probably diatoms, nothing to worry about and usually go away as the tank matures.
