My water has turned dark green/brown with algae. Kind of strange since my tank is 2 mo.s old, and I've had no problems till now. Is there any way to clear it up in a hurry? I tried doing a water change, but now it's back to the same color. My condylactis is dying from no light. What can I do
Are you sure it's algae? Unless you have a huge amount of organic material/phosphates etc .. in your water to start with it shouldn't be able to support such a population of algae. I don't see how it possibly could turn your tank water that dark. Have been doing your water changes? Do you have a huge overpopulation of stock or have you been overfeeding your tank? Do you leave your lights on 24/7? I'd assume you probably answered no to all the questions above if so I'd check the water you were adding to the tank for any of the above items. In case it's not in your tank water supply but in your tank check decorations or a for a large dead animal. What I'd really be afraid of more ,"I hope it's alge", is that one of your pumps has released oil into your water.
Best of luck!

I agree--we need more info before we can really help. Live rock? Filters? Pumps (and brand!)? What fish are in there? Maintenance and feeding?

Like the others, I have no idea. It would help a lot to know:
*tank size
*filtration/circulation
*live rock or sand?
*livestock, if any
*lighting
*NH3/NO2/NO3/alkalinity/PO4 if you know them
One other thing, which may sound weird. What does the tank smell like?
