man, how awsome, we sell these fine fish now because some old guy that lives around us breeds them, such beauty! does anyone here have any? they are remarkable in color!!!! i was wondering if someone could just sum up lilke, a list of things to know about them, thanks!

some would live for almost 3 years in captivity. in nature the puddles they live in dries up so thats why they dont live too long. if you breed them i thin you have to take out their eggs and let them incubate in moist substrate and then will hatch out again in water. like in nature where the puddles are filled in the rainy season and then dries up in summer.

There are so many species of killies that they can't really be summed up in broad terms. Over the years I've kept and bred about 15 different types and there isn't any general info that comes to mind aside from the obvious aquarium stuff. The only thing I can think of is that most killies are fairly aggresive.

BTW Kribs, not all killies live less than a year, many of them live quite long lives. The annuals generally live less than a year though - sometimes they live longer in aquariums!

Which species do you have Hans?
