One of my gold gouramis died during the night for no apparent reason.
pH is 7.0, and NH3 0.
So I decided to bring back the 4 danios and 2 of my 4 tiger barbs because those 6 were the most aggitated and picked on everyone. I am going to replace the gold gourami. Any suggestion on other additions or should i bring back the other barbs because i've read they are better in large group (so they pick on their kind only).

well, you definitely need more barbs. Either regular tigers, green tigers or albino tigers. I know many other barbs will be fine and school with tigers but not sure if they will actually cure aggression towards other fish. The problem is, your tank is going to get out of hand fast with the bala sharks and such. I'd get rid of the bala's and add some tiger barbs. Kyle

Last time i went to my LFS they said it didn't need testing. They just tested pH and NH3 for which i have test to both. I am going there now to test the rest then.
I think i'll get a couple more dwarf puffers and gouramis what do you guys think?

A thousand times no!
I've never kept dwarf puffers, but many people have problems with them being aggressive fin nippers. This is the main reason they're not in my community tank.
Semi-aggressive gourami + aggressive puffer = eek!

well the dwarf puffers are semi aggressive also and they were quite affraid of the tiger barbs. Now that the barbs are gone, it is the first time i see them swim freely in "open water".
It is my first tank and i am trying to figure out the right and peaceful combination of fish, this forum has helped me a lot.
