I currently have a 46gal tank.
6 zebra Danios
5 Black Tetra.
I would like to add
2 ottos
2 juli cory
2 grenn cory
Would that be to many fish??
What is the rule about stocking tank? I was told a the LFS that it 1inch per gal. Is that correct??

The 1 inch /gallon rule is only valid for slim, bullet shaped fish. For all other fish, you have to consider their entire size--width and mass, as well as length. Of course, behavior and territory must be an important consideration as well.

For a 46, you could easily add 4-5 cories. I would encourage you to stick with one kind, as they do like being in a group, and won't always mix. The pair of otos could stand being bumped up toa trio, and wait to add them until the tank has been established for 5-6 months. Make sure you get ones that have been in the store for at least 7 days--put a down payment on them if needed. Do some research on them--they are cool, and hardy once established, but getting good ones can be tough.
