I don't know what these tiny little round white things are on our driftwood. Maybe neon tetra eggs? or some kind of bacteria or parasite? The tank looks like it may be infected with Neon tetra Disease, as all the neons are now losing colour. Could the possible NTD have anything to do with the white things on driftwood? Or could the white things have anything to do with the neons colour loss? ANybody?

Oh and if you wouldn't mind checking this thread about our neons losing colour and lending some expertise:

Thanks

I was wondering if you ever found out what the white dots were? Because I have little white dots all over my driftwood. They have been there for a while now and don't seem to have negetivly affected any of my fish. By the way I don't have any neons, and I am pretty sure they are not eggs of any kind because of how long I have had the spots and the fact that their appearance never changes except that I went from not having any to slowly having them all over the wood. I'd be interested in any thing you found out, or if anyone else has an explanation. Thanks!

I had what looked like white dots on my driftwood which turned out to be air bubbles slowly forcing themselves out of the wood. My wood was brand new to the tank and still slightly floaty if nudged. The white affect was due to the light reflecting on them.

Hope this helps :)
