I have no clue what fish this is or anything about it. Was marked at LFS as sajica but that was way off.:sad

Can't really say since the fish is so pale. Jeff could be right...a possible of Thorichthys species.

While that could possibly be a juvenile Thoricthys, it also bears a certain resemblance to baby Amphilophus that I have known. So you may have either a small Firemouth or Citrinellum. Big difference.

I was thinking it might be an astatheros species. I doubt a firemouth or any thorichthys because of lack of gill spot. You connot see it in the picture but he has small spots on the lower part of the anal and dorsal fins. I have had it for about a month it is two inches and is feed bloodworms and hiakari gold cichlid food. There is another that in the same tank and marked as the same fish but looks diferent. Heres the pic.

if its is really really stressed out it might not show the gill spots.

it is most definatly not a sajica...thats in the archocentrus genus and they all look like convicts.

im gonna put my vote in for either a thoricthys or maybe amphlious.

it might be a trimac

hell it could be a flowerhorn too they look alot like amphilous types before they get the waterhead.
