Yeah, he had like four guys help him set it up too. Apparently the tanks don't deteriorate much either...they pretty much stay in that condition when they are done. The way he engineers them makes ANY fish look good.

I would say probably somewhere in the neighborhood of 800 or so gallons. Beautiful tank by the way!

Well, I have no info on it. I just happened to find it aimlessly wondering the internet for fish stuff. Here is the link

The fellow in the pictures name is Takashi Amano...and he is likely the worlds best Aquarium landscape photographer.

Here is a geocities site with more of his stuff...

So, would you go with an Emperor 400 or an AC 500 for that? I think you should go canister, maybe an xP3.;) ;) :p

I think a couple HOBs would do the trick. Some might go for the penguin, I like the ehiem.
:>

Actually, while I have you here... there is a link showing just how Mr. Amano does his thing...

Looks like it's too small for the driftwood, I guess he better get a bigger one. If I brought one of those home, I would have to install a hood with a mattress so I had somewhere to sleep after my wife saw it.

He needs to get some Altum angels and some discus for that aquarium.:)

that tank is closer to 1600 gallons and has angels and discus in it... I saw some in a close up some where on the net

the reason I say 1600 gallons is that it is at least 10 feet long 4 feet high and 4 front to back and that is about 1200 gallons

probably closer to 12 feet by 5 by 5

think it would be possible to make an aquarium room???? this guys tank has made me think that it might actually be possible.
putting on an addition and would really like to do that ...need to know what would be required (other than some tranquilizers when i tell wippit)

would really like to have just enough room to walk around it and have benches on the walls so that you could just sit and watch the fish
