Do they even make these? If so, do you know where I can get one?
I've looked at big al's, that pet place, dr. fosters. and petsmart.com to no avail.
If they don't make them is it nessecary to have a hood on a betta tank? I can always us a desk lamp for lighting.

You do need a cover for betta tanks, otherwise they can jump out, but I'm not sure what people usually use for their 2.5 gallon tanks. My bettas are in mini-bows.
I know they make solid glass covers for 2.5 gallon tanks.

There are light strips that fit 2.5 gallon tanks.

It doesn't look like that glass hood allows for any kind of filter or anything on back, except some tubing for an air pump or something. If you don't care about putting a light on, maybe the screen top would be better.

that is excatly what I'm look for!!!! thank you so much!
do you think that the glass could be easily cut to accomodate a filter?
Again, thank you! :)

I wouldn't order a glass cover. Lowes/Home Depot can cut you one cheaply, just find a creative way to keep from cutting yourself on the edges.
I don't think 2.5 hoods come with fluorescent lighting. I had to look all over just to find a fluorescent 5.5 gallon hood.
