I have a 25g tank that im going to set up for a pair of Rams (no intentions of breeding) was wondering if a single Angel would do OK in that small of tank. Its going to also be a planted tank. The 25g tank is the same footprint as a standard 20g but taller. Thanks

I think it would be fine. Angels really shine in tall tanks.

I think 1 angel would be fine.

I would not do it. I have angels in with a male ram (was a m/f pair) in my 55G and the angels like to chase the rams. In the 55G I have plenty of space, plants, hiding places, but I think in a 25G there would not be much room for the rams to hide.

I think that it would still be tight for an angel with the tank only being 20 inches long. Would prefer a 29g min tank size for an angel.

We are talking about a single angelfish though, not a pair. I've got several that get all aggro when they are with each other but are totally calm when they are alone. (some of the rams are the same way, as well)
