New Orleans Aquarium

Going to New Orleans in a few weeks, anyone know about the aquarium they have there? Where is it? any Freshwater stuff? Web site?

I went to the Moss Point, Miss. area 2 Christmas's ago and we took a day trip to New Orleans. It was a nice area, plan for lots of walking.

As for the aquarium they have, it's like none other. Since I have been there just 2 years ago they have added on yet again and have like 30 new tanks.

Go see the shark tanks, they are amazing. If your lucky you will be there at feeding time like we was. I took many rolls of film, but stupid me took no digi photos as I didnt have that camera available at the time....so I can't show you, but its worth the price you pay to get in.

Plan to be at the New Orleans Aquarium for many hours. ;)

The aquarium is awsome. I was there last January. I think that my favorite part was the school of Lookdowns (Selene vomer) that they have there. They are just as you come in. SO COOL!!!! They have SO many types of jellies there too. GO GO GO. You will love it. Have fun!!! Sara

GO! You'll love it! I have been to about 6-7 other aquariums around the US & the one in New Orleans was my fav. by far! Of course I love all the Gulf Coast fish there as I grew up with all of those kinds of fishies....
