Well, I'm an old time member converted to the salty side. And, if I had my way, my two remaining Freshwater tanks would be converted into Salt as well. It's just so awesome! I'm not coming over here to make you all convert though- I am just suggesting, if you haven't considered saltwater, check it out.

With that said, I still have two freshwater tanks that I'd like to share with you all. I hope you can enjoy them. My 10 Gallon used to be my quarantine, and my 29G used to be my 37G, until I converted the 37 to Salt and moved all of it's contents to the 29. I hope you can understand- it's confusing.

The 37G used to be planted, and I planted the 29 also, but it just wasn't working, so I changed to plastic plants. The 10 was planted also, but the same thing happened.

29 Gallon:
8 Black Phantom tetras
8 Long finned Leopard Danios
2 Angels
2 Yoyo loaches
1 Rainbow Shark

(has a small algea problem, gonna buy a Bristlenose)

10 Gallon
9 Neon Tetras (want to add 10 more)

And if you like Salwater you can view my progress:

If you'd like to see mroe of the saltwater, just say so and I can give you links to more pictures and threads at RC.

Your tanks look great! I wanted to try to have a salt water tank, but it looks like it's harder to take care of. I don't know if it is or not.:)

Tanks look great! The freshwater ones anyway ;) JK, they all look great.
P.S. A bristlenose is always a good idea. :D

Nice Tanks!

I too have both fresh & saltwater tanks. I LOVE the salties! I was wondering what the grassy looking stuff at the bottom of your saltwater tank is? Thanks!

Thanks guys- I hope to use my tanks as examples that not all Plastic Plant Tanks have to be ugly and fake looking :p The grassy coral in my Saltwater tank is Green Star polyps. There are four coral species in my tank at the moment, GSP, Xenia, Cauliflower Leather, and Hammer- but I plan on keeping a fullblown reef by the time my tank is fully matured- but it does take a lot of time.

IMO, Saltwater tanks are not much more maintainence than freshwater- well, actually they are a little more, but it's fun maintainence so it doesn't seem like a pain. Actually, the biggest difference is cost. I have spent thousands of dollars on my Saltwater tank, whereas just a couple hundred for my 2 Fresh combined.

I really don't touch my freshwater tanks except to topoff their evap. once every couple of weeks. but I store so much extra water for the Salt it's not a big deal.

The key to saltwater, as I've found though, is patience and research. It's not much more work if you do it right in the first place...enough yammering from me :) Thanks for the compliments!!!

Them are some good looking tanks. I had to go back to see that they were not real plants. :D I could swear that were real.
