i have a whisper 30-60 from walmart on it right now and a 24 inch coralife bulb:confused:
A huge school of white cloud minnows or else maybe some rosey barbs?
How about a couple of Pumkinseeds?

i'd go for the white clouds or even some zebra danios as long as the water didn't drop below 64F.
Rosy barbs are nice but can grow to 5" and are some times aggressive towards others.:)

You could put some more rosey reds in it and if you raise the temp to like 75 every now and then they will breed and you will have a permanent food supply for your channel cat that won't be a prone to disease (like store bought feeders). Just put a small clay pot or a piece of shale in your tank and they will breed on it (usually on the under side of a surface) and remove it to a bare tank with a sponge filter or something that doesn't produce as much water movement. If you get two males and maybe twice as many females, they'll mate every other week or so. Males have the fleshy growth from their head to the dorsal fin. Plus, you could just feed the last ones to your catfish in the fall before you bring your fish in to keep in the 30 gallon for the winter (I assume that's what you do?).

I hope those fish get out to the pond soon as that tank is way to small for all the fish you had listed. When they get bigger or hit a growth spurt, they wont fit in that 30 gallon. :D
