PH of tap water

Hi, the PH of my tab water is about 6.5. Is this low compared to most tap water?

A better question: is this pH suited to the type of fish I'd like to keep? My guess is that many of us are quite envious (I know I am...). Low pH water gives you many more options for fish keeping and breeding. You can keep acidic water fish, as well as hardwater/high pH preferring fish (with additives).

What sort of fish do you hope to keep (or are you keeping)?

FYI: let your tapwater sit out overnight before you test it. My PH increases by about .4 after sitting out overnight. This increase is from the CO2 escaping. Your results may vary......
