I'm mounting 2 60" VHO lamps directly under my 250w MH bulbs. They are just crossing underneath the open MH bulbs at that point. How close is too close for the VHO bulbs to the MH bulbs. Will 4" be too close? I can feel how hot the VHO bulb is getting right in the concentrated spot from being so close to the MH, is this a bad thing? Will the temp difference on the surface of the VHO bulb cause it to break or wear out sooner?
