My friend just called me as I walked in from school with a question about his dragon fish (violet goby).

He says they are thin looking like they have not been eating. One of them was also floating with his tail on the bottom and looked almost dead.

He feeds them Wardley's shrimp pellets.

Any suggestions?

If you have any questions to ask, you can post them and I will call him to get the answer.

Thanks

he's actually a brackish water fish, which would explain why it's not doing well. These fish do not do well in FW at all, no matter the conditions. They develop tumors and are very susceptible to infections and disease when in FW. If you can provide BW conditions for it, then by all means get one and treat it with discomed a med for internal parasites. Internal parasites may explain why it is not eating, alot of BW fish are wild caught which is where the internal parasites come from.
