I wanted to know if it is ok to use tap water with red sea salt and let it sit with a heater and powerhead? It would sit for about a week before i needed it for water changes. Would this be an ok way to go without using RO/DI water? I am using RO/DI water for topoffs but not for my water changes which are done weekly at 5-10%.

What's the pH and nitrate reading on your tap water? Also, any detectable copper?
