Our injured snow flake eel is still doing pretty well as far as we can see. since he is small, 8 inches if that, no eyes and internal injuries, would it be ok to put him into our much less aggressive tank, a 33 gallon with live rock and an assortment of not to aggressive fish crabs and urchins? at least for the time being? remember he's small and hurt, the most aggressive thing in that tank is either the sally light foot or the coral banded shrimp.

Blind or not, there is a good chance he would eat the shrimp/crabs eventually. How is he eating now? I remember reading your thread about him, sucks that he's hurt, but they are hardy he may bounce back. Good luck!

How sick is he??

If he is not too well, you might actually worry more about the crabs getting to him :eek2: We had this happen many years back - we had a sick eel (we think something had gotten caught in his stomach and not passed). He was getting really big, and when he got sick we would see the TOP half of him... but when he got really bad (not even waving around to try to eat) I went in to pull him and treat him... and I swear he looked half-eaten on a good 1/5 of his body!!! It was the crabs, and the eel apparently didn't feel or was too sick to even hide. Just keep that somewhere in your memory-bank and if you're trying to nurse him back in a tank with crabs - make sure he's not so sick he can't fend for himself. Good luck.
