Yes, I'm joking, but...

I have three albino cories and a peppered in a 55 gallon tank.

Two of the albinos are inseperable, and are never more than a few inches apart.

But the other albino and the peppered are loners, and stay by themselves.

I am about to add two or three more, and I need some help deciding what variety.

Do different varieties like this usually shoal together, or will the peppered and the albinos segregate themselves into different groups?

And are some cories just naturally loners, like my albino that doesn't hang with the other two?

I have a bronze, albino and peppered in a 10 gallon. Somedays they are all together, some days just two of them hang out, some days they are all separate. I guess a lot fo it depends on how secure they feel in the tank. Cories tend to be social fish but not schooling fish per se. Often it is good enough that they know company is nearby.

I've read

i've read that the cories prefer to hang with others as similar as possible. Makes sense in that one albino in a shoal of peppereds will be targeted by predators. I suggest, therefore, getting a few more of each. Four even five of each would be nice.
