Zin,
That is a great looking tank. How long has been it been set up?

Dave

Thanks for all the complements :)

Its been set up for about 2 months now, most of the plants look pretty good except for a few which are developing brown spots(lack of iron?), im using 2.2wpg, which i think is acceptable because of the small depth of the tank.

It looks a bit cluttered(sp) but i kind of like the look of spreading out traditional background plants more evenly.

iv got alot of spare stuff in my garage so iv been thinking about adding a co2 canister, atm using yeast.

I don't think it looks cluttered at all. That is why I like planted tanks so much. You can arrange them to likes and tastes.

I use one of them Hagen CO2 kits that are designed for smaller tanks. It is the smae as a DIY setup, but without the hassle of having to build one. I have read in the planted forum that people have figured out how to make their own yeast mixture. With work I travel a lot so I still use the mix that you buy at a lfs. This is so my wife can keep an eye on the output while I'm gone.

iv been using the jello diy co2, works pretty good, i replace it about every 3 weeks or so, it would probably last longer but o well.

a pressurized(sp) co2 tank would last me like 5 years on a 10gal :P

so once i get it right i can just leave it :)

Trying to get jello in a bottle and re-hooking it up and cleaning the small bottle i use to make sure none of the yeast gets in. Just isnt fun.

Nice looking tank!
