Kissing gourami are very difficult, if not impossible, to sex. I've read that the female tends to get a bit plumper than the male, but that isn't much help, especially if you only have two of them -- who's to say that the larger of the two isn't just a bulkier male? You might have to just "guess" with this pair.

It's sometimes said that the "kissing" (i.e. aggression) only happens between males, but I don't think this is a reliable rule. Perhaps someone more knowledgable can verify/correct me?
