lionfish not looking good...

I thought that my lionfish had ick, so I treated him with Greenex. It is not working. He is getting worse. It almost looks like he is shedding his skin like a snake and there are white blotches all over him. Does anyone have any ideas what might be wrong with him? Any suggestions on what he might have or how to treat it would be appreciated. :confused:
 
He might have Marine Velvet. If he does a better treatment would be a freshwater dip for 3-4 minutes or Copper Treatment. Lions shed their skin to try and rid diseases. Once the fins start to become clamped and spines start to lay flat, that is generally the end. Lions are hardy when not sick, but when sick is hard to treat.... generally. Hope he makes it!
