I currently have 6 lemon tetras, 6 cardinal tetras and two dwarf gouramis.
At the moment I am feeding them once daily a small pinch of standard tropical fish flakes.
I had heard that giving fish some live food occasionally was a good idea. If so, what should I give them and how often?

I feed blackworms from Aquatic Foods (http://www.aquaticfoods.com/intros.html) to my Discus but my Cardinals never ever eat them. My Diamond Tetras will go after them on occasion, but are not overly impressed- I don't know whether they are too large or simply an incorrect food for the species, but I would try a smaller live food first. Daphnia and other cultures are available from Aquabid. (http://www.aquabid.com/)

Thanks - I'll give the daphnia a try.
Are they the same as brine shrimp by the way?

I feed my fish grindal worms. They all like them. I have bettas, tetras, barbs, gouramis, platies, loaches, catfish and danios. They all like them.
